Inland Empire Small Business Development Center Announcement
The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) has been a source of confusion and costly mistakes since its inception a decade ago. FMLA requires certain employers to provide 12 weeks of unpaid leave to eligible employees within a 12-month period. Applying to private and public sector employers, FMLA can be challenging and frustrating for HR professionals. In this workshop, attendees will discuss FMLA regulations and provide suggestion on ways to comply with FMLA and monitor and track leaves of absence.
Additional Topics to be discussed include:Coordinating and administering leaves
Intermittent leave
Recent court cases
Employee notifications
